Yep, Jodi at MCP Photoshop Actions whipped up some magic just for newborn sessions, and she sent me at copy to try out and showcase… beautiful actions to give you the creamy skins, smooth backgrounds, removing red tones, hazes just for newbs… and so much goodness, you’ll never have to worry about your newborn processing again.

Quite honestly, Ive been waiting for this day!
When MCP Photoshop Actions came out with an action set SPECIFICALLY for newborn.
I’d say about 60% of my clients are newborn, so it’s a huge chunk of my client base. Making sure that each and every of my newborn sessions are edited to perfection, well that is a main concern of mine. Ive spent countless hours editing my newborn sessions with a plethora of different actions to make ONE fabulous picture, but this set, well its an ALL IN ONE. No need for me to run to one set of actions for a red, another for a haze, and into another for a skin smoothing… MCP Photoshop Actions made my day (make that lifetime) by simplifying the process for me.

Hello Humpday!!  I am bringing you a fantastic feature today that will be sure to get you over the mid-week hump!!

Studio Baby is an up and coming company that sells Posing beanbags along with some great accessories!!  There are so many posing bags out there on the market, and not all work for newborn photography.  What I love about these bags is the shape.  It’s not a typical bean bag shape, but more like a puck which is fantastic for photographing newborns.  When photographing any subject, but especially newborns, safety is our number one priority!  Using a normal beanbag can be a problem because they are round, not providing a flat surface for the babies to rest securely on.  But since the Studio Baby is shaped like a puck, it provides a nice flat surface to pose the baby on safely and securely!  Awesome right!!  Oh, and they are made out of wonderful high-quality faux leather so they are also super easy to clean if there is an accident (which when dealing with naked and full babies, is bound to happen )

Now that we have the shape covered, what about the accessories!  Do you have problems with your blankets sliding around on the bean bag?  Well, Studio Baby has that covered   They offer non-slip mats to place under your blankets to provide a non-slip surface for your blankets/fabrics.  Genius I tell you!!  Such a huge improvement from what I had been dealing with over the years!  They also sell posing bags to help provide extra support when posing your babies!  I love the unique shape which snuggles around your baby and also helps keep your babies secure   And, let’s not forget about the traveler bag!  This is great so that I can travel from place to place and not worry about damaging my posing bag or getting it dirty before a session! Such awesome products to help make your newborn photography adventure easier!

AND if that wasn’t enough they are the most affordable I have seen!  The traveler size seen and used below is only $49.99!  SERIOUSLY!  How awesome is that!  They also offer 4 different sizes ranging from $39.00 – $92.00.  So, there is a size and price for everyone!  I used the traveler size which was great for me since I don’t have a studio and travel, but if I had a studio, I would for sure go big

So, in summary!  Check them out!  They are awesome, great quality and most importantly SUPER affordable!  Can’t beat that!!

Happy Friday Prop Junkies!  I hope you all have fun and exciting plans for the weekend

Howdy Ladies!!  I hope you all are doing well, and if you are not, you will be after this post!

Prop Junkies, I introduce to you Pink Poppy!   Pink Poppy is a team of 2 photographers and friends who work together to create FABULOUS goodies to help spruce up your shoots!  Jackie and Tammy are 2 wonderful ladies who love to create the perfect addition to your shoot!  They create mohair wraps, headbands, bonnets, upcycled hats, knitted hats and much more!  If you need it for your shoot, they have it!!!

When I received the stack of goodies from them, I was over the moon excited!!  The pictures just do not do them justice   The quality is great and there is so much to choose from.  Each piece is unique and a lot of their items have that special Pink Poppy touch that you can’t find anywhere else   I also loved their ease of use   A lot of the headbands are tiebacks so they fit a variety of sizes and can be used from  newborns to toddlers.  I also loved on the chin strap gnome hat, that the strap was Velcro so it made it super easy to get on and off the baby without disturbing them (which is a major plus for those newborn shoots)!

Hello Hello!!  I hope everyone is having a great Spring Break or getting prepared for yours!  We just finished ours and had a 10 day trip to Texas to visit family.
