My favorite charitable cause is OpLove. It is a program for deploying soldiers or deployed soldiers families. They get a free session and 4×6 proof book that is sent overseas to the deployed soldier. The idea is to give them something to look forward to and to raise moral.
I think this is such an important cause because our soldiers are so brave and they deserve our love and support. They give up so much for us and I believe that they deserve something back.
You can find more information at http://www.oplove.org
My favorite charity is NILMDTS. I have two good friends who have lost their babies, one shortly after her birth, and one was born still. Hearing both of their stories and the importance of NILMDTS to each of them, you could tell what an amazing organization it is! One of them did use NILMDTS, and the photographer was so amazing, she has tons of beautiful photographs from him, the other friend did not use NILMDTS, and she wishes she would have! I think its such an important organization.
My favorite charity is the local domestic violence center. I am thankful that women who need a safe place, have one.
I have many but there are two that have special meaning for me. The first is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada, specifically the Ride for Juvenile Diabetes. I’ve watched my mother suffer with this disease all my life (she was diagnosed when she was 3 1/2 and is now 50) and a good friend of mine also suffers from this disease. The second is the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My best friend is suffering from this terrible disease, she also lost her best friend and sister 2 1/2 years ago to this same disease. Her sister was 35 and she will turn 35 this year. The average lifespan for an adult living with CF is 36.
My 2 favorite charities that I contribute a portion of all earnings to are NILMDTS and National Down Syndrome Association. I give the option to each of my clients on who they would like to contribute to.
I chose NDS because my 2 year old has Down Syndrome. I chose NILMDTS because I was able to walk out of the NICU with my baby. Unfortunately, not all of the other parents were able to do that. I think each parent deserves beautiful portraits of their children. The last image of their baby should not be one of them in a casket.
My favorite is also Operation Love Reunited (OpLove). I’m a participating photographer because I feel strongly that our men and women over there need all the support they can get. As a former sailor myself, and married to a current Army reservist, it’s a charity that’s near and dear to my heart.
My favorite Charity cause is a Local Youth Center. Rock Solid Youth Center. It’s a christian youth center that gives kids a safe place to grow and learn, they provide jobs for teenagers in the community, and they have a coffee shop where all proceeds go to the Local women’s shelter Grace place. Rock Solid does so much for the community, they are always giving back, and I’d like to do anything I can to help their cause. I currently work side by side w/ the director on his advertising in my 9 to 5 job, but would like to do so much more, and have been racking my brain to find a way to.. this is perfect!
For me, it’s the American Heart Association. Heart disease runs rampant in my family and I lost my best friend at the young age of 22 to a rare heart condition, so this charity really hits home for me. All of these mentioned here are phenomenal organizations, though.
My favorite charity is the littlest heroes. I recently finished a shoot and it was the most amazing experience ever.
Think Pink (breast cancer), Child Saving Institute (children free for adoption) and a local charity ‘Friendship Home’ (for women and children escaping domestic violence) are my top three. There are so many worthy causes and wonderful charities it is hard to stop naming them. Autism Speaks is another.
I volunteer for several charities and would love to be able to create a charity calendar to raise money and help their cause(s) while also growing my business. That is a wonderful idea and benefits all. What a great idea! I would be honored to win this and be able to support my charities of choice.
I normally don’t announce it, but since you are asking. I donate both money and time to several charities, LOTS of them. Some that are near and dear to my heart are March of Dimes (my daughter was born 2 months early, and her son was born 4 months early) premies are my biggest soft spot. Also American Heart Association (I had my first heart attack the month of my 31st birthday, and with luck on my side have survived 3 more since). The third that gets my time and money is our local Diabetes research foundation as Diabetes affects all the females in my family over the age of 25. Now the reason I have been pulled into photography is to work tword becomming good enough in my craft to volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep and Littlest Heros Project. Those two are my ultimate goal and why I do what I do. I am crossing my fingers in hopes to be the random draw this week, but if I am not, I am also starting a “save for the kit” fund.
I don’t often respond here, thinking there is some one else who deserves to win the item more than I, with hopes that it gives that one person sitting home praying to win a tiny edge. However, this time it is me hoping to win. This is the most fantastic product I have seen in years. Bravo to every single person to utilize this wonderful opportunity.
My favorite charitable cause is Relay For Life. I have lost several family members and friends to cancer, so I do all I can to help fight this ugly illness!
I do not have one charity inparticular that is my ‘favorite’. I donate to several charities each year… Relay for Life, March of Dimes, participate in walks for breastcancer and childhood lukemia…
But one charity I am strongly considering getting involved with is the American Child Photographers Charity Guild. ot Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. I would donate my time to take pictures for the families who have delivered a stillborn or a very sick premie who may not make it long in this world. To memorialize those very few precious moments they have with their child.
My favorite charity is the FL Baptist Children’s home. my husband and I worked there as house parents (we had 8 foster kids plus our daughter) and we loved it. we would still be there if my husbands health could handle the stress. but I stay involved as much as I can. I am involved in several other charities, but that one is where I receive the most joy.

My favorite charity is a local one called Sharing Life. They provide food, clothing, job training and parenting classes for those in need in our community. Anyone who asks will receive help, being treated with respect and dignity.
My favorite is The Littlest Heroes Project. I am blessed with 5 healthy children and can only imagine the struggles parents face with their ill little ones. Although I haven’t been called for a session yet, I have photographed two adults who passed away shortly after their photos were taken. One expected to not live long, one who’s passing was a complete surprise. Those photos have become cherished items to the girl who was looking forward to dancing with her ill father at a girl scout event and to an entire elementary school when a beloved teacher passed away.
What a fantastic idea! I think my charity would have to be March of Dimes, or anything “baby” related.
This is so interesting that you did this post, because in my area all of the auctions for charities and schools seem to be going on right now. I have alway contributed to any and all that I am asked too. I feel like what I do is a gift from God and any opportunity I have to share it and help others…I do. I actually just did a blog post about a few I am doing this month… one of the auctions is for the Ronald McDonald House and it is an online auction. I asked my customers to please consider bidding on the package…it has been so fun because the package is now the #1 bidding package in the auction!!! I am amazed, but not shocked because I feel that I have the most amazing customers ever! What a blessing to have a group effort in helping others! Love in Christ, kyle
The Littlest Heroes project .. I’m passionate about giving back and making a difference with my photography skills. Photography for me, is not just my business but also my heart.
Rogan’s Photography says:
My favorite charity is the Leukemia and lymphoma Society. My mom was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma in Feb of 1998, my freshman year of college. She fought a long 7 year battle including a bone marrow transplant at Tulane University. She fought for life, not because she didn’t want to die, but because she didn’t want to leave her children. She left all 6 of us with a challenge…”go out there and do something to make this world a better place.” This Saturday marks the 4th anniversary of her passing and I hope I make her proud each and every day. I am a volunteer for the American Cancer Society currently serving as the children’s activities chair for the Mobile Metro Relay for Life which is this Friday, April 24th.

My favorite charity is March for Babies. I am actually going on a benefit walk on Sunday in my area. This is so close to my heart because after going through a very, very difficult pregnancy I ended up having an emergency C-section when I was only 27 weeks pregnant with my daughter. She was born at 13 inches and 2.2 lbs. It was the scarriest thing I have ever gone through especially since we didnt know if she would even live let alone what type of health problems she would face throughout her life.
Lily spent nearly 3 months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It was the most difficult time of our lives and I even months later when I look back at pictures my husband and I just get so sad because of all the tests, needles, blood transfusions, iv’s, feeding tubes, and daily struggles she had to go through just to survive. She is now 5 months old and still only weighs 9 lbs. She is relatively healthy other than she has some eye trouble and is delayed in learning. She truly is our miracle and the love of our life! If it weren’t for March for Babies/Dimes we would not have her with us today since they without their medical advancements there is no way she would have survived that early.
I would love to win this. I haven’t “opened my doors” yet but am hoping to soon. My oldest son has autism and it has impacted my life in a major way. I would love to be able to help other people with children with autism or special needs in general- it would be amazing if I could help by way of photography.
I really hope I win!!
My favorite charity is called “the giving hope” project and it’s actually one that I started and am working on right now. I am working with my local hospital, creating a fundraising project for their NICU. I am photographing 1 child that passed through the NICU for each year it has been open. These will be on display right outside the NICU to give hope to the families that their preemie and sick babies can live normal healthy lives
I think it’s a great project because we are making the bleek hallways cheerful and actually giving hope in a trying difficult time!
This would be an awesome asset to my business! Locally – my organization I help is the Food Bank. In times like these, there are are people out there going without food to pay the house payment. Nationally – I like to support NILMDTS. This organization is near and dear to my heart.

This is so hard to choose just one, as there are many causes I feel strongly about.
One of my favorite charities has to be a local animal shelter who works their ‘tails’ off to find homes for the dogs that find their way to them. The women that work there are truly generous with their time and have huge hearts. Having a passion for animals myself, it is easy to see that this animal shelter is a blessing in our community.
Another cause I feel very strongly about is MS. One of my seniors from the class of 2010 was diagnosed last summer with this challenging disease. He has single handedly created Walk With Strength, with a mission to raise awareness and funds for prescription aid assistance as well as a cure.
I also have a special place in my heart for Think Pink, as I’m sure many of us do. There are many people suffering from cancers all over the nation and I truly believe that Think Pink is a tremendous step in the cure-finding direction.

I introduced myself to smoking when I was just a kid. It was the biggest wrong move I’ve made. Now I’m older I have found stopping is extremely difficult. I attmpted all of the stopping tricks but nothing helped me stop. Then I discovered the e-cigarette. The e cigarettes uses a nicotine fluid that holds simply nicotine. No smelly smoke at all. They have literally saved my life. Quitting sucking in smelly smoke feels stupendous!
