Blessed 2009 is a fun and rockin’ way to use props for babies & newborns!

I was elated with Jamie, from Blessed 2009 back in November… I told her of a lil set of twins I had coming up soon, and I was looking for something fun and sassy to use on them.. being “boy & girl”, I felt a lil limited on my “hat” props… however, Blessed 2009 help me out.. AND QUICKLY TOO!

One for baby boy… and one for baby girl that adorned a cute lil pink bow!!!

(photo thanks to my photog partner, Jamie Kristine)

Serendipity Backgrounds | Feature & Giveaway

ser·en·dip·i·ty
[ser-uhn-dip-i-tee]

–noun
1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
2. good fortune; luck: the serendipity of getting the first job she applied for.

I will say that I had SERENDIPITY when first finding out about this fabulous lil prop shop…
I was cruising through facebook, and came apon Serendipity on FB
and I was in L.O.V.E!

Serendipity Backgrounds is different than the vinyl and fabric backdrops we are used to featuring..
They are PAPER!

But dont get worried… they are a thick matte paper, which is a fabulous thing!

For example.. with the babies below, I put the Serendipity Backgrounds “roll” right on my backdrop stand, as I would any other “paper backdrop”.

The best part of these  Serendipity Backgrounds is that unlike vinyl, there is no “shine/bounceback” from my softbox…
PERFECTO!!!!!

I can bean my soft box at my regular 45-60 deg angle.. and not have the “hot patch” on my backdrop!!!
However, they are paper… and even thick matte paper can rip… so enjoy the “no hot zone”, but treat them nicely as well!

I roll mine right back up, and store them w/my other paper drops.

OR…
you can do this easy trick…
we stuck our big TUFF LUV backdrop right to our studio wall.
We first used “painters tape”, but realized it had to be removed very carefully or it will pull a lil paper with it…
so, we took tiny nails and just popped each corner right into the wall itself….

and got great results like this…

My review… I LOVE THESE BACKDROPS!

I like the fact that they dont blow out, or get “hot” from my flash…
Just treat them nicely and either roll them back up or attach them right to your wall
and save them from any “wear/tear”.

WHO WANTS TO WIN!?!

One lucky PI reader will win a FREE BACK DROP OF THEIR CHOICE!!!

Just visit Serendipity Backgrounds
and come back HERE, and leave a comment on your favorite drop… you might win juts that one!!!!!
